Chris Wurtz
Hello!
I'm Chris Wurtz, a senior Communication/Journalism major and Business minor at Shippensburg University.
I'm the Sports Editor at Shippensburg's student-run newspaper, The Slate. I also do freelance reporting on Franklin County high school sports for the Herald-Mail.
From a young age, I was captivated by sports and surrounded myself with them as much as possible. Combined with a fervor for content creation, I have developed a passion for sharing the stories -- both on and off the field -- of teams and athletes around me.
My favorite stories that I've had the privilege of telling are the ones that typically wouldn't get the most attention. But the deeper you dig, the better content you can uncover.
I hope to someday be a beat writer for a professional sports team or a staff writer for a popular online sports publication.
If I'm not writing, I'm probably somewhere playing ultimate frisbee or getting way too emotionally invested in the New Orleans Saints.
