Not Shippensburg’s Tony Vavaroutsos. The sophomore standout outfielder, who was born and raised in Ontario, Canada, played slow pitch softball in high school because his school — Mary Ward Catholic Secondary — did not offer baseball as an organized sport.

At Shippensburg University, WSYC 88.7 FM is more than just a way for students with radio-related career aspirations to get experience.
